BARCELONA AND REAL MADRID WINS FIRST MATCH AS LA LIGA KICKS OFF

An own goal and Sergi Roberto strike gave Barcelona half time lead at Nou Camp

Barcelona could not find a third but ran out comfortably as 2-0 winners

 Real Madrid overcame Deportivo La Coruna with ease 3-0 at the Riazor

Sergio Ramos was sent off with 30 seconds remaining for second yellow card 

Barcelona and Real Madrid both claimed routine victories in their opening games of the La Liga season. 

An own goal and Sergi Roberto strike were enough for Ernesto Valverde's side though


Lionel Messi hit the woodwork three times and it could have been more against Real Betis. 

Real Madrid cruised past Deportivo La Coruna at the Riazor with a 3-0 win soured by the late red card of Sergio Ramos.
