Sakho: west brom interested in signing Liverpool's defender...

West Brom are interested in Liverpool's £30m-rated defender Mamadou Sakho.

France centre-back Sakho, 27, is out of favour at Anfield after falling out with Reds manager Jurgen Klopp on the 2016 pre-season tour of the USA.

He was sent on loan to Crystal Palace last season, where he made eight appearances, and was nominated for their player of the year award.

The news comes after the Baggies rejected an £18m bid from Manchester City for centre-back Jonny Evans.

Manager Tony Pulis said on Friday it would be"crazy" to say they would turn down a bigger offer for the Northern Ireland defender, but added: "We're not desperate for money.
"Sakho turned down a loan move to West Brom last August after being told he can leave the club.

He has not played for the Reds since April 2016, when he was provisionally suspended after failing a drugs test before subsequently being cleared.

Sakho joined Palace on loan for the second half of last term and was not involved in Liverpool's Premier League game at Watford last Saturday or Tuesday's Champions League play-off, first-leg win over Hoffenheim.

Should a deal go through, the fee would eclipse the club record £13m West Brom paid Tottenham for Nacer Chadli 12 months ago.

                           Analysis

The last two weeks of the transfer window can involve some cagey wheeling and dealing.

West Brom know they can sell Evans to Manchester City.

If they do that, they have decent money to get in a replacement. However, if they tell everyone that is what they intend to do, the price of their targets go up.

So, they sound out clubs quietly, while telling the world Evans is going nowhere.

It may be that the Northern Irishman stays put.

But Tony Pulis wants to know what the alternatives are - and having already spoken toLiverpool about Sakho once this summer, he is now talking to them again.

6 MAJOR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN OLAMIDE AND PHYNO'S STADIUM CONCERT

If there was a list of upcoming Nigerian music legends being prepared, it is certain that Olamide and Phyno will be on that list. By their exploits in the Nigerian music industry, both musicians have done more to encourage a ‘concert going culture’ among Nigerians than any other entertainers in the country. Phyno’s Phynofest music festival is currently in its third year and the 2017 edition saw the musician sell out the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu. Olamide’s OLIC (Olamide Live in Concert) is currently in its fourth year and the 2017 edition was also special because it was the first time Baddo was attempting to fill up the Teslim Balogun Stadium venue of the event. Although some say both musicians are only taking a page out South African rapper Cassper Nyovest’s book by holding shows at stadiums, one cannot help but commend them for their attempts. In this article,  NAIJ.com  will point out the major differences in both Olamide’s s...

Similarities between Wizkid TheConcert and Davido's 30BillionConcert

The similarities between Wizkid‘s concert last weekend and Davido‘s 30 billion concert last night were quite obvious for all to see. If they hadn’t made peace already, it may have been another subject of a supremacy battle but going by what went down in both shows many observers have pointed out some similarities. Here are some similarities between both shows and its obvious they ‘inspire eachother’ 1. Both brought their first kids on stage While Wizkid brought his son, Boluwatife on stage, Davido brought his daughter, Imade on stage. 2.Both wore glittery outfits and black pants  It was obvious Davido’s sparkly shirt and black pants were inspired by Wizkid. 3.Both brought lots of supporting acts on stage Wizkid brought a horde of artists to perform and Davido did the same with over 20 acts performing at his concert . 4.Both events served as a centre stage for peace While ...
